ShopMonitor vs CheckView vs Shopwarden - detailed 3-way comparison
ShopMonitor does one thing and goes deep on it: it runs real test purchases through your WooCommerce checkout on a schedule - up to hourly - and alerts you the moment any step breaks: product page, add to cart, checkout form, payment. Every failed run comes with the evidence you need to fix it fast.

Verdict:
Shopwarden takes a wider approach: uptime monitoring, plugin update & security monitoring, order statistics and browser-based flow checks, connected to your store via its own WordPress plugin. There's a genuinely useful free plan for basic health and uptime monitoring.

Trade-offs
Verdict:
Ghost Inspector is a general-purpose automated browser testing platform: record any flow with a browser extension, run it on a schedule, get screenshots and video. It's not WordPress-specific - which is both its strength and its weakness here.

Verdict:
Uptime monitors get mentioned in every roundup, so let's address it directly: UptimeRobot is not a CheckView alternative - but many store owners think it is, and that misunderstanding costs real money.
Why that isn't enough
Verdict:
If you have developers in-house, you can build checkout tests with Playwright or Cypress - both free, both excellent. The software costs nothing; the total cost of ownership is another story:
