The Add Website wizard walks you through adding a new website and creating its first test flow in one guided flow.
Steps
1. URL
- Enter the start URL for the test.
- Select the platform (e.g. WooCommerce, Shopify, custom).
- An optional WordPress connect view is available for WordPress sites.
- On Pro/Agency plans, you can pre-assign the website to a client before continuing.
2. Template
- Choose a test type:
- Cart test — the popular default; adds a product and verifies the cart.
- Purchase — full checkout through to order confirmation.
- Login — sign-in flow.
- Search — site search behavior.
- Form — submit a specific form.
- Manual — define steps yourself; skips the AI configure step.
3. Configure
- ShopMonitor runs an AI scan of the start page.
- Depending on the template, the AI can auto-detect the checkout, scan forms, or scan the login flow.
- Review and adjust detected fields and steps as needed.
- Skipped when you chose the Manual template.
4. Review
- Inspect the generated test steps before saving.
- Edit or remove steps if the scan missed something.
5. Schedule
- Set the cadence (how often the test runs).
- Choose time of day and timezone for scheduled runs.
6. Done
- Confirm to create the website and test flow.
- Optionally run the first test immediately after creation.
Plan availability
- Hourly schedule — not available on the Starter plan; the option is disabled and shows an upgrade hint.
- Adding a website — blocked when your trial has expired or the account is locked out (read-only mode).
Tips
- Start with Cart test unless you need a different flow — it covers the most common checkout breakage.
- Use Manual only when the AI scan cannot map your site; you will define every step yourself.
- Set the schedule timezone to match when your shop is typically live and staffed.
