Getting Started

Getting started: login & navigation

Sign in, understand the main navigation, the client scope filter, and the monthly runs counter.

This article explains how to sign in to ShopMonitor and find your way around the main navigation after login.

Key functions

  • Open the login screen and sign in with your email (Auth0).
  • Sessions stay valid for a long time (about 30 days), so you rarely need to sign in again.

Dashboard

  • After login you land on the Dashboard — your account home with an overview of recent activity.

Global navigation

The top navigation is available on every page:

  • Dashboard — home overview.
  • Websites — list of all monitored websites.
  • Clients — manage client portfolios (see Plan availability).
  • Add Website — start the wizard to add a new website and test flow.
  • Settings (gear icon) — account preferences, billing, and more.

Language

  • Switch between English and German on the login screen or in Settings.

Client scope filter

  • A dropdown in the navigation (when available) limits the Websites list to a specific client or to unassigned websites.
  • Only shown on Pro/Agency plans when you have at least one client (see Plan availability).

Runs counter

  • Shown in the navigation: used / monthly limit of test runs.
  • Click it to open the Plans page.
  • On Pro/Agency, a popover also shows a per-client breakdown of run usage.

Trial reminder banner

  • During an active trial, a banner may remind you how much trial time remains.

Expired trial

  • When the trial has expired, the account becomes read-only.
  • You can still browse past data (runs, websites, settings).
  • You cannot start new or scheduled runs.
  • You are redirected to the Plans page when you try restricted actions.

Plan availability

  • Clients navigation link — Pro and Agency plans only.
  • Client scope filter — Pro and Agency plans only, and only when at least one client exists.

Tips

  • If you are sent to the login screen unexpectedly, your session may have expired — sign in again.
  • Use the runs counter to check remaining monthly capacity before starting many manual tests.
